The Mail on Sunday will apologise to Sir Salman Rushdie for publishing allegations contained in a discredited book written by a former policeman once involved in the Booker prize-winning author s protection.Rushdie won a libel battle against the book, On Her Majesty s Secret Service, at the high court in London yesterday.
